You’ll explore the tools and resources available to help ensure your digital assets remain authentic\, accessible and usable for future generations. \n\n\n\nFollowing a short introduction to key concepts and resources\, the afternoon will focus on a practical\, step-by-step demonstration of the appraisal and accessioning process using freely available tools. \n\n\n\nThe workshop is designed to be informal\, practical and accessible to anyone with an interest in digital preservation\, regardless of previous experience. You’re welcome to bring a laptop and examples of digital material from your own collections if you’d like to follow along\, but there’s no expectation to do so. SUMMARY:Rationalisation in Practice: Managing Museum Collections
DESCRIPTION:Explore practical approaches to collections rationalisation\, from planning & approvals to disposal\, risk management & community engagement \n\n\n\nHow can museums make confident\, responsible decisions about their collections?
